"The manager was surly..the front desk overlooked telling me I had to "open" the telephone line (the room was on a credit card). I could'nt call locally nor could I use my phone car not an 800 number. the choice of that hotel was "heated pool" and jacuzzi. Ha. Cold! and locked out of jacuzzi. When questioned about the pool the manger said something about not using the power - to heat the pool. BUT never said a word about it during check in. A man in the next room went crazy - ran down the parking lot, slit his throat and died. After the room being cordoned off and forced to stay for forensics and police to do their investigation...the manager wanted to charge me for another DAY (because the next day rolls over at NOON. The girl who works behind the front desk waited until he was out the door and told me I could pay with cash instead of using the credit card with an automatic extra day charge. Kudos to her and a big rasberry to the manager. I read a letter that was not kind about this same motel when I was trying to find a central place to stay and thought - well, give the place a chance..I booked and will NEVER book there again..I have personal friends that traveled around to all the Best Western in a huge territory..if they hadn't retired this place would have been under NEW managment. Pity the people who work for that ugly man."
